Riana (13 years old) is the oldest of 6 children. She has been exposed to ongoing neglect, abuse, parental meth use and has engaged in serious offending as a child.
She is currently in the care of her mother. She was also involved in some serious offending, violent in nature from May 2025.
She has not re-offended since then, however is currently under a YJ plan. Riana is Pashyn Poa's "cousin"/ friend (they aren't related but they claim to be because their mother's are friends). I think it would be preferable if sessions are done separately between the two.
Riana is very easily led by negative peer influences. But when she is in a settled space, e.g. when we do the equine therapy with her, she does great. She wants to stop getting into trouble for the sake of trying to role model something better for Aaliah. She has struggled with glue use - she has agreed to engage in support for her substance use (glue and weed), but she has struggled with her anger. She has advised she had used weed to make her feel calmer. Riana is wanting to enter into the beauty field when she is older. She has a great amount of potential, has goals, but needs some guidance and space to really hone in on a better path for her.
