Aaliah is 11 years old and is the child of Ngaire Tecklenburg and Wazeer Aziz. They are currently not together. There are very tricky whanau dynamics, where Aaliah/ the siblings are caught in the middle of the adult dynamics.
Aaliah was recently safety planned to her Nana Barbara Trow, after Aaliah began to be violent at home, pulling out a knife and cutting up things in the home. She also got into an altercation with Riana. Police were called to support her to get into the car to transport her to her Nana.
Aaliah has been settled with her Nana. Aaliah presents with an attitude that is older than what she is. Aaliah has been exposed to family harm, and complex whanau dynamics. Aaliah has also been engaged in offending and recently was huffing solvents when she went missing a couple of weeks ago.
Beneath the layers, Aaliah is a very caring young person and cares a lot about what people think of her. Aaliah holds a lot of anger, and it can come out in unhealthy and unhelpful ways. Aaliah would benefit from having her own space outside of the home environment where she can feel safe.
